Another work related post…

You always meet unique people at work. So here are some more details on the types of people I work with

The Invader

This is the man who continuously invades my personal space. He will not just ask me a question. He will come to my desk, get within 6 inches of my face and stare at my screen to see what I am doing, and then ask me a question.

The Embellisher

This is the man who loves to embellish even the tiniest thing he does. He makes replying to an e-mail sound like he is writing the UN a letter to stop world war 3. He works late one night a year, he will remind you of that night all of next year.

The boss loves him because even if he does 5% of a project, and you helped him with the rest, he will make his part the center of attention.

The Snoop

The woman who goes around tracking all printouts to see who is printing what. She will walk by your desk 20 seconds after you print a recipe for halwa, saying, oh I noticed you printing this, I grabbed it for you.

The Smoker

20 smoke breaks a day x 10, how much break time are they really taking?

The Good Aunties

They treat you like your daughter.

The Bad Aunties

They see a picture of you all dressed up and their reply is, “it’s amazing what makeup can do to a person”

The Politician

He’s the one who plays games so his position is always secure in the company, as in, he purposely does not train you fully, doesn’t create documentation for his work, so he is the sole keeper on his job, and he cannot be replaced.

The Whiner

The one who whines a lot more than he works. Is constantly heard saying things such as, I can’t deal with this… what is wrong with thing thing…. Ugh this program sucks….. If they used half as much energy trying to resolve the issue, they’d be employee of the year.
